RARE BLACK McLOUGHIN BROS. DIORAMA. Late 19th Century, as was typical of the time period the black people were portrayed within the various scenes in a comical nature with exaggerated features. One of the scenes portrays a black gentleman seated in a chair playing a banjo while his friend frolics about. Another scene depicts a dapper black gentleman tipping his hat to a young lady. RARE CELLULOID MICKEY AND MINNIE SEESAW TOY. Rubber band activated. Mickey and Minnie will seesaw back and forth as the rubber band unwinds. Elastic strung arms and legs, both figures are marked, "Japan" at hip. Stamped, "Made in Japan" on bottom of tin base. SIZE: 5 1/4" t. FISHER PRICE MICKEY MOUSE BAND. Circa 1934, this is the first Disney toy Fisher Price produced. Mickey and Pluto are mounted upon a wheeled wooden base with a stick push rod. When pushed along the floor, Mickey strikes the drum and cymbal (on Pluto’s tail) in an alternating manner. Marked on the side of the drum "MICKEY MOUSE BAND" & "FISHER PRICE TOYS # 530." The base is of painted blue wood with yellow wheels, and the figures have brightly colored paper litho applied to their wood frames. Toy came directly from the original owner in a rural house in Pennsylvania and has never been cleaned or altered in any manner. SIZE: 12" l. BUCK ROGERS DISINTEGRATOR GUN WITH HOLSTER. Rarely is this model found with the holster. The gun retains its original gold paint and still works. When the trigger is pulled a light flashes in the red window above. The holster still retains its original embossing "Buck Rogers Atomic Pistol". PROFESSOR PUG FROG'S MECHANICAL BANK. Manufactured by J&E Stevens Co. This appealing bank depicts a frog on a high-wheel bicycle. When a coin is placed in Professor Pug Frog's mouth and the lever activated, the bicycle spins in a counterclockwise circle depositing the coin, spinning to hit the book that mother goose is reading, and then returning to its initial position. This particular version is enameled in a multitude of colors but the base primarily being yellow and red. SIZE: 11". CONDITION: Overall condition is very good. When a coin is placed on the barrel of the gun and the lever pressed, the coin flies into the bears chest and the bears mouth opens & Indian tilts his head upwards as though he was looking into the bear’s face. Part of the famed "Gang of 5", commonly referred to as the "Train Robot" because of the whistles that it emits from its chrome grille/speaker as it rolls across the floor in stop and go action. LARGE HUBLEY BANDWAGON. A breathtaking toy with marvelous provenance. This piece was on display at the Hubley offices in New York City. After the closure of the Hubley factory, the owner had it on display in his house in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Drawn by four white horses with plumes, the driver parades down the street with eight musicians seated behind him. A classic toy manufactured by Hubley, this piece can stand alone on one’s mantle! ROYAL CIRCUS "FARMER’S VAN". Highly desirable circus toy that when pulled along the floor, the rear wheels engage a geared mechanism causing the farmers head to pop out of the center of the van. Enameled in bright colors and trimmed in gold. The toy is complete and in original paint. An oddity is that this toy has two different wheels on the horses’ hoofs. This piece was on display at the Hubley offices in New York City. After the closure of the Hubley factory, the owner had it on display in his house in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. SIZE: 16". LADY PULLING EXPRESS WAGON. Of French manufacture, possibly by R. F., this slightly larger version is of a finely enameled lady pulling her "goods’ wagon. A string is wound around the pulley and when pulled, this causes the flywheel to spin and the toy to move forward. The lady, when moving forward, has a series of four legs to give a simulated walking motion. SIZE: 6-1/2" l. CONDITION: Slight oxidation to finish, but otherwise very fine plus. JL 1-4409 (350-450)
