9. LOT OF FIVE CHEIN TIN BANKS. By J. Chein & Co. U.S.A. lot includes two mech. tipping hat Monkey banks, one tipping trunk mech. Elephant bank, one moving tongue Clown mech. bank, and one RARE "Humpty Dumpty" still bank (not seen before). SIZE: Tallest is 5 1/2". 12. LOT OF 5 WINDUP TOYS W/ORIGINAL BOXES. A nice grouping of clean and desirable toys includes a small Marx treaded Tractor (not working, otherwise excellent), a Japanese all tin lithograph hopping Rabbit with Carrot marked S.Y. Japan (excellent and working), a Japanese somersaulting Clown marked S.K. Japan with celluloid hands and feet (excellent and working), a Wolverine "Over & Under" Bridge toy dated 1918 (missing tin car, otherwise very good to excellent and working) and a Marx pre-war "Wee Scottie" windup Dog (excellent and working). 13. MARX WINDUP HELICOPTER IN O/B. All tin lithograph Mercury #107 mechanical helicopter. 1950's Japan. Colorful aircraft dollys forward with spinning props above and "tipping" action. SIZE: 10"l. CONDITION: Excellent and working, original box is very good+. 1-26266 (150-250)

14. LOT OF TWO JAPANESE TIN TOYS W/OB. Lot includes T.P.S. Monkey Golfer. All tin colorful golfer putts the ball into netted cage area. Golf ball returns to tee. Lot also includes friction Army Duck toy by "K" Japan. Amphibious truck/boat rolls forward with revolving gun cannons. SIZE: Largest is 9"l. CONDITION: Golfer is near mint with excellent box. 15. TIN WINDUP LEHMANN DARE DEVIL W/OB. Also called Gallop #852, West Germany. Later post war version of an original 1881 toy. Highly graphic with gun toting cowboy fighting stubborn zebra. SIZE: 71/2"h. CONDITION: Excellent to near mint and working. Colorful box is fair to good. 1-26061 (200-400)
16. TIN WINDUP HAM AND SAM MINSTREL TOY W/OB. By Strauss dated 1921. Fabulous original black related toy. Dancer with top hat strums banjo while doing the jig. Black character seated at piano sways back and forth as hands slide across keyboard. Lithographed images on tin piano show couples in turn of the century attire doing the "Cake Walk". Superb period graphics on original box show Ham and Sam Minstrel performing at local music hall with wide-eyed Black Mammys, Picaninies and other caricatures gathered around dance floor. SIZE: Piano6 1/2"w. CONDITION: Toy is in excellent+ working condition. One of the best we've seen. Box is missing one inside flap, otherwise good to very good. 17. TIN WINDUP "HUMPHREY MOBILE" W/OB. Copt. Ham Fisher by Wyandotte U.S.A. Colorful all tin lithographed windup comic toy rolls forward with waving arm, moving legs and tipping hat. Box images show original comic strip block images on one side, full color image of toy on other. SIZE: 7"h. CONDITION: Toy is clean, excellent and working. End flaps on one side of box detached. 18. MARX AMOS 'N' ANDY FRESH AIR TAXI W/OB. Copt. 1930, Correll & Gosden. An outstanding all original classic toy complete with original box and unused paper cutouts of characters. Toy falls into several collectible categories including radio, television, black memorabilia character, Marx, tin windups, etc. Highly visual original box has wonderful images on all six sides including inside flaps. Ain't dat sumpin! SIZE: 8"l. CONDITION: Difficult to improve on. The best we have seen! Underside of toy is truly mint unused. All functions working properly. Box is missing two inside flaps, otherwise box remains relative firm with 95% of graphics intact. Very good overall. 1-26222 (900-1,200)

19. TIN WINDUP "THE GREAT BILLIARD CHAMPION" W/OB. By K.I. Co. Germany. All tin gentleman dressed in Teens-20's style. Plays billiards on early style tin table. Complete with paper label original box also marked "D.R.G.M." and "Schutzmarke". Included is billiard ball that is correct for the period. SIZE: 6"l. CONDITION: Excellent+. Near mint. 20. HAM'N SAM WINDUP IN O/B. By Linemar Japan. Classic black orientated all tin mechanical toy. Black dancer does the "jig" while seated piano player sways back and forth. Jazz-like sayings and song titles lithographed on piano. Nice toy. SIZE: Base is 4"x 5". CONDITION: Excellent+ and working, very clean example (retains original $.98 price stamping). Original box has one inside flap missing. All colorful images remain intact. Retains original Christmas sticker. Box is overall very good. 1-26246 (900-1,200)

23. TIN WINDUP TOONERVILLE TROLLEY. By Ditsler-Germany. Copt. 1922 Fontaine Fox. MISSING WHEEL. SIZE: 5 1/2"to top of roof. CONDITION: Other than missing wheel, toy is a clean example in near excellent condition. Working. 1-26302 (175-350)

Lot includes Marx tin somersaulting Monkey, performing tin Seal with spinning apparatus above, Lindstrom all tin lithographed Indian with walking motion, Japanese hopping donkey with Indian rider (plastic and tin) and performing tin Elephant. Balances spinning apparatus above while swaying wooden barrel. SIZE: tallest 5 1/2". CONDITION: All toys working averaging very good overall. 1-26196 (300-500)

26. LOT OF FOUR TIN TOYS. Lot includes Wyandotte Tin "Laying Hen" toy, Yone Japan-Windup poka-dot colored hopping chicken, early German windup parrot on wheels, Baldwin brand tin clucking hen with crank, action egg laying mechanism. 27. FLEISCHMANN TIN WINDUP SHIP. 18" Dual stack ship features lifeboats, catwalk and detailed flag pole. Nice detail to deck railing and striping. CONDITION: Windup mechanism via smoke stack is working. Two tin lifeboats and three flags are missing. One side of hull has dented area with paint missing (approximate size of a quarter). 1-26279 (600-800)

28. B.O. SANTA CLAUS TELEPHONE BANK W/OB. By S & E Japan. Scarce 1950's toy with multiple actions. Dropping penny into, and dial tin pay phone Bank activates Santa on other end of line. Telephone rings, Kris Kringle's nameplate lights and nodding head Santa picks up and speaks into phone while writing. Hang up pay phone, and coin drops into bank. Amazingly, we counted nine actions! SIZE: 8"h. CONDITION: Excellent with all functions working. Box is very good. 1-26101 (500-1,000+)

29. L'IL ABNER TIN WINDUP BAND. By Unique Art Copt. 1945 United Features Synd. Famous Al Capp comic characters perform around highly lithographed tin Piano. SIZE: 8 1/2"h. CONDITION: Very good to excellent and working. 1-26300 (450-650)

30. MARX DONALD DUCK DUET. Copt. 1946 Walt Disney Prod. Large all tin figure of Goofy dancing while Donald plays the drums. Colorful images of Disney characters lithographed all over base. SIZE: 11"h. CONDITION: Replaced ears on Goofy. Good working condition with scuffing and light wear. 1-26301 (300-600)

31. TIN WINDUP HAROLD LLOYD WALKER. Unmarked. Very comical silent movie star toy walks forward with changing face and swinging arms. SIZE: 10 1/2"h. CONDITION: Light wear and scratches. Replaced arms, missing cane, all functions working. Good+ overall. 1-26565 (400-700)

47. RARE ARCADE C.I. AUTO STILL BANK. Model T four door black Phaeton with white painted cast iron wheels. Vehicle shows coin slot at rear with original tin coin trap below. Nickel plated driver. 48. EARLY MARX HONEY-MOON EXPRESS W/OB. Pre-war American toy in the best of condition. 1920's-30's showing early style locomotive, 1920's roadster and different lithography from later versions. Toy retains original cobalt blue paper on underside. Three color original box is complete with diecut cardboard packing insert. SIZE: 9 1/2" diam. 53. 1930'S TIN LITHO GROCERY STORE. With cardboard Sample Boxes. Mfg. by Durable Toys & Novelty Corp. N.Y. Fabulous child's display Store features opening doors with nice Lithographs of children shopping in Grocery Store with depression era prices. Original cloth shade Awning is stamped "Grocery". Lot includes 15 cardboard Brand name sample boxes including Kellogg's, Nabisco, Wrigleys Gum, Bon-Ami, and many other highly graphic child size cartons. SIZE: 13"h. 54. LOT OF 2 PAPER ON WOOD BLOCK PUZZLES. Circa 1880's-90's. Lot includes boxed set of Young Folks Cube Puzzles "Old Woman Who Lives in a Shoe". Includes story book showing all six puzzle images within. Lot also includes large cube set showing French city images with a two passenger velocipede. SIZE: Largest measures 8 1/2" x 11 1/2". 57. SET OF BOXED TOOTSIE TOY BEDROOM FURNITURE. No. 6P Pink Bedroom Set. Lot includes two twin beds, opening drawer dresser with bench, fainting couch, table lamp and floor lamp. 62. TIN WINDUP GUNTHERMANN 1897 PEUGEOT. Stunning graceful design of a Superb early open Car with opposing Seats, steerable front end and High-Wheel white rubber tires. Hand painted driver in period clothing and handlebar moustache. True clockwork movement with long running windup action. This toy will hold a special place in any collection. SIZE: 10"l x 9"h. CONDITION: Replaced rubber tires, otherwise believed to be an all original piece with windup working. Excellent. 1-26337 (4,500-6,000)

63. TIN WIND-UP SEATED CHILD. Charming French tin wind-up toy of little boy seated backwards in chair. Seat of chair marked "Marque Deposee No. 138-Article Francais" and on the back of the chair " BTE SGDG". When wound, boy swivels at the hips making the chair move forward. SIZE: Approx. 7 1/4" x 4". CONDITION: Boy's shirt is soiled and has been resewn, felt pants are lightly frayed, otherwise good and working. 1-26688 (1,200-1,500)

64. C.I. BEAR AND HONEY STILL BANK. SIZE: 7"h. CONDITION: Very good+ original paint on this scarce still bank. Still retains original gloss. Very nice. 1-26188 (500-700)

65. C.I. DANCING BEAR MECH. BANK. Dated 1882. Scarce animated bank features windup action . Drop coin in slot, throw switch and organ grinder cranks as dancing bear performs. Children peer over rear fence. SIZE: 7" base. CONDITION: Nice clean toy with fair to good paint. All mechanics working. 1-26331 (4,500-5,500)

66. C.I. INDEPENDENCE HALL STILL BANK. Dated 1875. Three coin receptacle on this scarce gold wash still bank. SIZE: 11" base. CONDITION: Some darkening and wear on topside of Building, front facade is good. 1-26223 (1,000-2,000)
67. C.I. NOVELTY BUILDING BANK. Dated 1873. Open front door of bank and animated teller appears to receive coin. SIZE: 4 1/4" base. CONDITION: Two breaks at top side of front door frame. Retains good+ original paint. 1-26220 (200-400)

144. LARGE DESIRABLE CHEIN BOAT TAIL RACER. Elongated torpedo shaped racer known as the Boat Tail Racer. Also referred to as the "Emmett Racer". Sporting colorful orange and yellow decoration, front numbered with an "E" on the radiator and beneath it a large "7"; sporting a N.Y. license plate. This racer dates sometime in the late 1920's having lithograph wire wheels and depicts what would have been an 8 cylinder motor. SIZE: Approx. 20". 323. 1927 COCA COLA THREE RING CIRCUS CARDBOARD DISPLAY. Twenty piece die cut cardboard window display featuring the Coca Cola circus under the big top. CONDITION: Fair to good. Large big top center section shows fair-good with water stains, some cardboard tears, and slight cardboard loss to bottom reinforced from behind with scotch tape. Four of the other large sections average fair to good with some tears and some cardboard loss. Balance of smaller pieces grade good to very good. 1-26394 (1,200-1,500)

324. IVER JOHNSON BICYCLE. Nice old Iver Johnson bike with leather seat, wooden wheels, original decals and front plaque and what appears to be original paint. Placque reads "Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass.". Retailer decal of bicycle in front of bridge reads, "Truss Bridge Bicycles- -rust the Truss". SIZE: 24" tires, 71" l. Awesome 1934 intricately detailed and full functional Number Ten electric Vacuum Cleaner sample features Chrome plated motor and nozzle assembly with swivel Casters and rotating Belt driven Brush. Miniature spring suspended blue cloth Dust Bag marked "Hamilton Beach Number Ten". Adjustable height to streamlined Nozzle. Diminutive functional electric motor can be seen via vent holes on underside. Other small-scale details include two on-off Switches, Brackets for wrapping electric Cord and enameled Hamilton Beach Emblem at front. Original wooden fitted Box has felt lining and electric Transformer for demonstrating salesman sample. Lot includes original page from 1934 catalog showing the Number Ten Vacuum listed at $39. 338. RARE FRENCH SMOKER AUTOMATON. Bisque socket head doll on base. BJCB. Carved wooden hands, Cartonne torso to enclose mechanism, cork pate, human hair wig, blue paperweight eyes. Stamped on head Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDH 9. Dresses as a military officer with sword. When wound up, the arm raises, lifting the cigarette to his mouth. The bellows within the body sucks the smoke through a tube in his arm, blowing the smoke out of his mouth. The head turns, also fitted with music box in base. The head has pierced ears, pronounced mold line above left ear. Wig is clipped. A very fine and rare automaton. Key present. SIZE: 22" t. CONDITION: Very good. 1-26502 (12,500-15,000)
339. RARE BLACK BANJO PLAYER "VICHY" AUTOMATON. A fantastic piece of black Americana. Hand strums banjo and eyes look about while foot moves up and down. This working automaton features two tunes. 340. BROWNIE AUTOMATON. Enigmatic potbellied papier mache figure with clockwork mechanism on wooden base. Features nice old paint, malleable wire arms and red cloth cape. When wound, the eyes on his impish face dart from side to side, keeping a watchful eye on passers-by. SIZE: base 7 1/4" x 7 1/4", figure stands 24" h. 347. "MY BLACK BABIES" TIN GAME. Steel, fold-up shooting gallery depicts six black children as pivoting knock-over targets, bottom of the shooting gallery also contains depictions of black faces along with festive circus theme set with patriotic symbols. 348. A MONARCH VICTORIAN AGE POOL TABLE. The finest pool table available. The Monarch, with a cast iron lion base which consists of four lion figures joined together in the center.
