clean and desirable toys includes a small Marx treaded Tractor (not working, otherwise
excellent), a Japanese all tin lithograph hopping Rabbit with Carrot marked S.Y. Japan
(excellent and working), a Japanese somersaulting Clown marked S.K. Japan with celluloid
hands and feet (excellent and working), a Wolverine "Over & Under" Bridge
toy dated 1918 (missing tin car, otherwise very good to excellent and working) and a Marx
pre-war "Wee Scottie" windup Dog (excellent and working). All toys with good to

| 16. TIN WINDUP HAM AND SAM MINSTREL TOY W/OB. By Strauss dated
1921. Fabulous original black related toy. Dancer with top hat strums banjo while doing
the jig. Black character seated at piano sways back and forth as hands slide across
keyboard. Lithographed images on tin piano show couples in turn of the century attire
doing the "Cake Walk". Superb period graphics on original box show Ham and Sam
Minstrel performing at local music hall with wide-eyed Black Mammys, Picaninies and other
caricatures gathered around dance floor. SIZE: Piano6 1/2"w. CONDITION: Toy is in
excellent+ working condition. One of the best we've seen. Box is missing one inside flap,
otherwise good to very good. All images are intact and strong. 1-26245 (800-1,200+) 17. TIN WINDUP "HUMPHREY MOBILE" W/OB. Copt. Ham Fisher by Wyandotte U.S.A. Colorful all tin lithographed windup comic toy rolls forward with waving arm, moving legs and tipping hat. Box images show original comic strip block images on one side, full color image of toy on other. SIZE: 7"h. CONDITION: Toy is clean, excellent and working. End flaps on one side of box detached. Box is otherwise good. 1-26247 (700-900) 18. MARX AMOS 'N' ANDY FRESH AIR TAXI W/OB. Copt. 1930, Correll & Gosden. An outstanding all original classic toy complete with original box and unused paper cutouts of characters. Toy falls into several collectible categories including radio, television, black memorabilia character, Marx, tin windups, etc. Highly visual original box has wonderful images on all six sides including inside flaps. Ain't dat sumpin! SIZE: 8"l. CONDITION: Difficult to improve on. The best we have seen! Underside of toy is truly mint unused. All functions working properly. features lifeboats, catwalk and detailed flag pole. Nice detail to deck railing and
striping. CONDITION: Windup mechanism via smoke stack is working. Two tin lifeboats and
three flags are missing. One side of hull has dented area with paint missing (approximate
size of a quarter). 1-26279 (600-800) 28. B.O. SANTA CLAUS TELEPHONE BANK W/OB. By S & E Japan. Scarce 1950's toy with multiple actions. Dropping penny into, and dial tin pay phone Bank activates Santa on other end of line. Telephone rings, Kris Kringle's nameplate lights and nodding head Santa picks up and speaks into phone while writing. Hang up pay phone, and coin drops into bank. Amazingly, we counted nine actions! design of a Superb early open Car with opposing Seats, steerable front end and High-Wheel
white rubber tires. Hand painted driver in period clothing and handlebar moustache. True
clockwork movement with long running windup action. This toy will hold a special place in
any collection. SIZE: 10"l x 9"h. CONDITION: Replaced rubber tires, otherwise
believed to be an all original piece with windup working. Excellent. 1-26337 (4,500-6,000) 63. TIN WIND-UP SEATED CHILD. Charming French tin wind-up toy of little boy seated backwards in chair. Seat of chair marked "Marque Deposee No. 138-Article Francais" and on the back of the chair " BTE SGDG". When wound, boy swivels at the hips making the chair move forward. SIZE: Approx. 7 1/4" x 4". Large big top center section shows fair-good with water stains, some cardboard tears, and slight cardboard loss to bottom reinforced from behind with scotch tape. Four of the other large sections average fair to good with some tears and some cardboard loss. Balance of smaller pieces grade good to very good. 1-26394 (1,200-1,500) 324. IVER JOHNSON BICYCLE. Nice old Iver Johnson bike with leather seat, wooden wheels, original decals and front plaque and what appears to be original paint. Placque reads "Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works, Fitchburg, Mass.". Retailer decal of bicycle in front of bridge reads, "Truss Bridge Bicycles- -rust the Truss". SIZE: 24" tires, 71" l. RARE FRENCH SMOKER AUTOMATON. Bisque socket head doll on base. BJCB. Carved wooden hands, Cartonne torso to enclose mechanism, cork pate, human hair wig, blue paperweight eyes. Stamped on head Depose Tete Jumeau Bte SGDH 9. Dresses as a military officer with sword. When wound up, the arm raises, lifting the cigarette to his mouth. The bellows within the body sucks the smoke through a tube in his arm, blowing the smoke out of his mouth. The head turns, also fitted with music box in base.
