T. has the most desirable face with perfect complexion and beautifully detailed facial features. Marked on rear of head "A.9 T." and on the bisque shoulder plate (AT left shoulder & 9 right shoulder). The paperweight eyes are deep lavender blue with large pupils that seem to follow you about the room. She is on proper and most sought after A.T. body that is constructed of kid with bisque lower arms, adorned in an antique aqua silk & cotton lace "Kate Greenaway" style dress with matching bonnet (w/some fraying to brim). Doll has bulging brown paperweight eyes, protruding upper lip, molded tongue between two lips. Overall pale bisque with rouged cheeks. She wears her original underwear and chemise antique brown stockings. Wearing antique green pleated wool dress, antique silk ribbon bonnet, and original signed BRU leather shoes. Her original blonde mohair wig is sparse and has been sewn to another blonde mohair wig to give it fullness. She retains her original cork pate. CONDITION: Overall very good. MARVELOUS BISQUE HEADED CLOWN MAGICIAN AUTOMATON. Truly outstanding and all original Lambert automaton from the late 1800s or early 1900s. Typical of French fashion, the character bisque head features pale white bisque, paperweight eyes, painted facial features, and is adorned with ladybugs and flying insects. The magician is decked in colorful silk clothing and has the most delicate bisque hands imaginable. The unmarked French bisque head has brown paperweight eyes. When wound, figure strums violin, moves head from side to side. Comes with antique glass dome with wooden base. FRENCH AUTOMATON OF ASIAN WOMAN POURING TEA. Amber tinted bisque flange Jumeau head with closed mouth and inset brown glass almond shaped eyes, wearing costume of embroidered silk with metallic lace trim. Reference Francois & Florence’s "Jumeau Book", p. 387, which states the head was "especially commissioned from Jumeau…[and] appears on no other automata." When wound woman raises and lowers her head, pours tea from teapot in right hand into a cup located on a tray in right hand. Left hand also extends to the far left and she also raises the teapot to the level of her head. She is wearing her original black mohair wig, the music box has the original red velvet covering with the original key which says "LB" Made by Leopold Lambert circa 1890. Extremely rare and desirable character with brown glass sleep eyes, closed mouth with very full molded lips, pierced ears. On original fully jointed pink body, wearing an elaborate, multi-layered colorful European costume, starched and padded green silk sleeves, high peeked hat brass necklace with cross and coins. Ca. 1910, these all original and very desirable character children feature blue glass sleep eyes, feathered eyebrows, closed pouty mouths, and original blonde mohair wigs. On original jointed pink composition bodies signed on the back with winged trademark of Cuno & Otto Dressel. These dolls, originally from an estate, have been in the same collection for over 30 years. The girl wears blue cotton windowpane checkered dress, full white cotton slip, and pantaloons, socks and white leather shoes with Keystone mark. The boy wears white cotton dress, white factory shirt, underpants, socks, and black leather boots with Keystone mark.
